TEMPLE KUNG FU
OF NORTHERN COLORADO

Welcome to
TEMPLE KUNG FU
OF NORTHERN COLORADO
TRAINING IN FORT COLLINS & LOVELAND
Kung Fu for lifelong practice
Temple Kung Fu is devoted to the study and preservation of traditional Chinese martial arts, internal cultivation, practical movement, and the original meaning of Kung Fu: skill developed through time, effort, and disciplined practice.
WHAT IS TEMPLE KUNG FU?
A school for adults who want depth over rank.
Temple Kung Fu is not a belt school, tournament team, fitness franchise, or commercial martial arts program. It is a simple place to practice traditional Chinese martial arts with sincerity, patience and purpose.
TRADITIONAL ROOTS
Training is rooted in traditional Taoist philosophy and Chinese martial arts, emphasizing internal cultivation, balance, structure, awareness, and lifelong refinement through disciplined practice.
PRACTICAL EXPRESSION
The goal is not to collect techniques but to cultivate usable movement: balance, structure, relaxation, intent, power, sensitivity, and adaptability.
THE PATH
The Path is Circular
In Temple Kung Fu, progress is not viewed as a straight line of promotions and memorization. True Kung Fu develops in cycles — returning again and again to the same principles, movements, and practices, each time with greater understanding, refinement, and depth.

RECOGNITION, NOT RANK
The sash marks time, maturity, and dilligence
Instead of an array of colored belts, Temple Kung Fu uses a simple, 3-colored sash system to recognize longevity and maturity in the art. It is not a ladder of progression, but a recognition of the time and effort a student has put into the art.
White Sash
Practitioner: A sincere student learning the foundations of practice, movement, etiquette, and discipline.
Black Sash
Instructor: A consistent student with demonstrated maturity, embodied understanding, and commitment to the art.
Red Sash
Master: A trusted practitioner with decades of experience, authorized to teach, guide, and preserve the spirit of the art.
